Southeastern Model Show Perry, GA.............What a wonderful weekend visiting, recruiting and raffling at the SPA tables in the GAMA SE Model gathering here. Many thanks to Pete Coleman who performed "Yeoman's" chores subbing for Mike Robinson (whose eye surgery so far has really gone well). Pete sold more raffle tickets than any of us, including the winning one.We are so grateful to Ron Chidgey of scratchbuilderwarehouse and World Models for their contribution of the GROOVY-90 ARF. A solid performer and beautiful model. And the winner was Richard Douglas of Elizabetrh City, N. C. Richard purchased 25 tickets for $20.00, the winner was almost in the middle of the string of 20 tickets. Mr. Williams tells me the River City club consists of 24 members and he thinks only one, (before today) is an SPA member. Richard is the newest applicant for membership with his initial dues payment and application submitted today. Congratulations Richard and thanks for becoming one of us. Duane had hundreds of lookers and admirers visit his huge SIMLA which he displayed. Ron Chidgey sold lots of goodies from scratchbuilderswarehouse.Com We bought and sold lots of model stuff....and most of all enjoyed seeing and visiting with so many of our good friends who enjoy the same passion as do we.
